Oregon State University is committed to creating and sustaining equitable and inclusive living, working and learning environments.
One way the university advances this commitment is through regular assessment of university climate for students and employees. The University Climate Surveys Workgroup leads climate inquiry that will produce actionable insights to advance the university’s mission and strategic progress outlined in Prosperity Widely Shared and the Diversity Action Plan.
Employee Community Climate Survey
The Employee Community Climate Survey is administered every two years to gauge the opinions and perceptions of employees regarding their experience at OSU.
The survey is anonymous meaning no personal information is connected to survey responses.
The 2026 Employee Community Climate Survey will be distributed in Spring Term. An invitation to complete the survey will be emailed to all employees.
Student Community Climate Survey
Oregon State University distributed the first Student Community Climate Survey in Spring 2015. Students and representatives from various academic departments, the graduate school, and student affairs departments collaborated to create a student survey to inform OSU's understanding of of how students experience the university.
The content of this survey is intentionally nimble to inform emerging concerns as they arise at the university.
The next Student Community Climate Assessment will take place in 2027.
